All day, my body accepts what it is like it's August, it's 80 degrees & my A.C. is broke.
For years, I've avoided the doctors, my headaches are more like nostalgia my nerves have gone dull.

My accent don't merit the drop off to just to distinguish, I'm fucking depressed & I'm broke.

Some nights, I think that I'm sleeping, the Office says I'm still watching it's been several seasons then all of a sudden, Michael is leaving then Michael is gone.
Get up, I sit on the toilet, feel awful, It's first time I've gone without drinks since I started, guess that I used to just blame the hangover.

I'm driving, It's started to rain & my gas has run low..
It's 60 or something between here to Beckley, the cops that way love me, my license revoked, they'll probably stop me.

Some nights, I look out the window, not too long, my neighbors, they probably hate me, I wouldn't know based off that one fucking time that we spoke.
Park on the curb then I hurry home.
Sometimes I head nod but don't say hello.
Wave to the dog, I'm not a stranger, I just felt off... a year in October.
